Event Description:
Join the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) and the Askew Institute for Multidisciplinary Studies (AIMS) for the fifth meeting regarding the possibility of designating the Florida Panhandle as a National Heritage Area (NHA) and latest updates on the feasibility study. The fifth meeting will take place at the Imogene Theater: 6866 Caroline Street, Milton, FL 32570. NHAs in the USA are places where historic, cultural, and natural resources combine to form cohesive, nationally important landscapes. Unlike national parks, NHAs are large, lived-in landscapes.
