Hiking Tour: Explore Local Archaeology
Start Date: 11/12/2019Start Time: 10:00 AM
End Date: 11/12/2019End Time: 11:00 AM

Event Description:
Join FPAN staff on a guided hiking tour of Oak Tree Nature Park (707 E Hollywood Blvd) in Mary Esther! Space is limited to 20 hikers. To reserve a spot email mthomin@uwf.edu. Archaeology is like a window in time that can reveal how past people once lived. Over one thousand years ago what is now the 25 acre Oak Tree Nature Park was part of a Native American village site. On the hike you will learn how the Native Americans who first settled the site used the native plants and animals to make the area their home.
