Search
A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas 7:30 PM UWF Pensacola Campus The University of West Florida Department of Theatre will present “A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas”, a new take on the beloved Charles Dickens classic adapted by Michael Wilson. Performances will be held Dec. 6 & 7 and 13 & 14 at 7:30pm and Dec. 8 & 15 at 2:30pm . All performances will take place in the Mainstage Theatre of the Center for Fine and Performing Arts, Building 82.
This spirited retelling of Charles Dickens’s classic pushes the fantastical elements of the beloved holiday story into the spotlight. A chorus of ghosts dance and carol their way in and out of this timeless tale of redemption, magic, and hope as Ebenezer Scrooge learns to embrace true holiday spirit.
Ticket prices are $18 per person for adults, $14 per person for senior citizens and active military, $12 per person for non-UWF students and UWF faculty and staff and $7 for high school students. UWF students are admitted free with their Nautilus cards. Tickets can be purchased at the CFPA Box Office, Building 82, 850.857.6285 or online at uwf.edu/cfpa.

Symphonic Band Concert 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM UWF Pensacola Campus The UWF Department of Music will present the UWF Symphonic Band in concert on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts, building 82, on the Pensacola campus.
Under the direction of Dr. Brittan Braddock, the UWF Symphonic Band will present a prgram including works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, John Mackey, Gustav Holst and more. This concert program features several works that were based on text from folk songs, hymns, or from the choral literature. The Symphonic Band has delved into the history, text, and interpretation of the original settings in order to pay homage to the historical significance. For example, Gustav Holst's Second Suite in F is based on a series of folk songs that were collected and used as source material. In the 20th century, the collection of folk songs became an important practice to preserve heritage. Many composers also became collectors.

A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas 7:30 PM UWF Pensacola Campus The University of West Florida Department of Theatre will present “A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas”, a new take on the beloved Charles Dickens classic adapted by Michael Wilson. Performances will be held Dec. 6 & 7 and 13 & 14 at 7:30pm and Dec. 8 & 15 at 2:30pm . All performances will take place in the Mainstage Theatre of the Center for Fine and Performing Arts, Building 82.
This spirited retelling of Charles Dickens’s classic pushes the fantastical elements of the beloved holiday story into the spotlight. A chorus of ghosts dance and carol their way in and out of this timeless tale of redemption, magic, and hope as Ebenezer Scrooge learns to embrace true holiday spirit.
Ticket prices are $18 per person for adults, $14 per person for senior citizens and active military, $12 per person for non-UWF students and UWF faculty and staff and $7 for high school students.
