Sara Schoch Faculty Recital

Event Description: The University of West Florida Department of Theatre will present “The Kitchen Sink: From Menotti to Meatloaf,” a faculty recital by assistant professor Sara Schoch , soprano. The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday , March 23 in the Studio Theatre, located in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts, Building 82, on the UWF Pensacola campus.
“The Kitchen Sink” will include a collection of solos, duets and small ensemble songs from across the Musical Theatre lexicon. Special guests will include Dr. Peter Steenblik, Corey McKern, Hanan Tarabay-Reddy and others. Tom Baroco will accompany on the piano.
Sara Schoch joined the Theatre Department in 2015. She holds an MFA in Acting from Brandeis University and a BFA in Musical Theatre from SUNY-Fredonia. She combines her experiences from more than 150 professional productions with her passion for teaching students the techniques of the profession. Since coming to UWF, she has directed the recent production of "Evita" as well as “Three Postcards," "Oklahoma!” and “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” and appeared onstage as The Ghost of Christmas Past in this year’s 10th anniversary production of “A Christmas Carol.”
