Vanishing Sail: Film Screening and Panel Discussion

Event Description:
The UWF Historic Trust and the Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) are hosting a film screening and panel discussion of the award winning documentary "Vanishing Sail: The Story of a Caribbean Tradition” inside the Voices of Pensacola Multicultural Center. Refreshments and hors d'oeuvre will be served to attendees. The Voices of Pensacola Multicultural Center is located at 117 E. Government Street.

    Immediately following the film a panel of experts from the University of West Florida including Dr. John Jensen of the Department of History, Dr. Greg Cook of the Department of Anthropology, and Dr. Sorna Khakzad of the Askew Institute for Multidisciplinary Studies will discuss different aspects of maritime landscapes and traditions highlighted in the film related to our area.
