The Art Gallery at the University of West Florida presents “A History of Photography: Storytellers, Tricksters, and Fortune Tellers" exhibition in the The Art Gallery at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts (Building 82) from Thursday, January 8, through Thursday, February 5, with a closing reception on Thursday, February 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Exploring the history of photography as curated by UWF Art and Design Professor Jim Jipson, the exhibition incorporates the work of students and faculty to transform TAG into an educational space that combines the unique worlds of history and photography.

Achieved through the exhibition design work of both students and faculty, the exhibition serves as an extension of the classroom. “Storytellers, Tricksters, and Fortune Tellers” challenges viewers to approach the exhibition from multiple perspectives, documenting both the historical context and artistic beauty of photography.

An installment of the ongoing EVOLVE Exhibition Series, the collaboration includes Professor Jipson and his History of Photography classes, who worked alongside TAG Team and TAG X interns under the mentorship of UWF Art and Design Instructor John Dougherty, UWF Historic Trust Exhibition Designer Richard Rodriguez, and The Art Gallery at UWF Director Stasha Willis
