#UWF"Beyond…" is presented as a dynamic new exhibition series at The Art Gallery, with visitors invited into the heart of the artistic process—where curiosity, collaboration, and self-discovery are placed above rigid technique.
The series was initiated by students and shaped by Professor Jim Jipson’s guiding philosophy of “playing until an answer comes.” The show was developed from Beyond Ideas and Concepts, an art and design course that was transformed into a summer residency.
The gallery space was cohabited by students and their professor, and prompt-driven exercises were engaged in, prioritizing process over product. Ideas were allowed to unfold through reflection, conversation, and intuitive exploration. As a result, viewers are challenged to feel first and think second by the exhibition.
TAG is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during exhibition days, excluding school holidays.
