Create your own Japanese New Year’s card (Nengajo) and discover a seasonal tradition from Japan on Saturday, January 31, at 11 a.m. (approximately one hour) in the Japan House at the International Center (Building 71).

While many greetings are now sent digitally, handmade Nengajo are still cherished for their warmth and personal touch. In this workshop, you’ll design an original card using brushes, stamps, and origami, and make a personal name stamp to complete your creation.

This free workshop is a a fun way to explore Japanese culture and children under 10 are welcome with adult supervision. All materials provided.
