UWF students and alumni are invited to attend Law School Fair on Friday, January 31, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the University Conference Center (Building 22). Whether you are interested in becoming a partner in a law firm or the next attorney general, law school is the first step.

All UWF students interested in exploring law school options are encouraged to attend this University-wide event. Students can learn how to apply to law schools, gain advice on how to set yourself apart from other applicants, and network with law school admissions officers from regional and national law schools.

Agenda:

  • 11 to 11:45 a.m. - Student Panel: We're inviting back UWF grads that are currently in law school to share their experiences thus far and give you tips on things they wish they knew ahead of time! The student panelists will be joining us via Zoom and we will have it broadcasted in the Conference Center Lounge for those attending the event.
  • Noon to 12:45 p.m. - Law School Recruiter Panel Discussion: As a group, law school representatives will participate in a general Q&A session, answering questions about the admissions processes, tips and best practices for students interested in pursuing a law degree, etc. The Recruiter Panel will be in-person only. Students wishing to connect with recruiters who were unable to attend the event in-person will be offered a resume drop option. Instructions for the resume drop will be sent via email.
  • 1 to 3 p.m. - Open Networking: Law schools will host individual tables/booths so that students can engage, ask questions, and find out more information about individual law schools of choice.

Set yourself up for success! Follow these guidelines to impress employers:

  • Business casual is recommended.
  • Update your Handshake and LinkedIn profiles.
  • Research law schools before the event so you can ask insightful and relevant questions.
