Join scholars, civic leaders, educators, and community members for a day of engaging discussions exploring the relationship between civic responsibility, self-government, and free enterprise in American society.

The symposium on Saturday, August 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the UWF Conference Center will feature three moderated panel discussions examining the enduring relevance of Adam Smith's The Wealth of Nations, the role of civic duty in sustaining self-government, and practical approaches to civic education and community engagement. The program will also include a keynote address, The Enduring Tension Between Free Markets and the Moral Order, exploring the balance between economic freedom and the ethical foundations necessary for a flourishing society.

Designed for educators, students, community leaders, and engaged citizens, this symposium offers an opportunity to explore how civic knowledge, civil discourse, and economic opportunity contribute to a vibrant and self-governing republic.
